EUNICE ENERGY GROUP present at Clean Energy for EU Islands Forum – Split/Hvar, Croatia.

In one of the most important international Forum with a political character for the development of clean energy for the European islands, the Greek EUNICE ENERGY GROUP (EEG) participated. The forum took place in Split/Hvar, Croatia from 20 to 22 November.

Mr. Zisimos Mantas, Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) of the EUNICE ENERGY GROUP (EEG) and member of the Management Board of the Hellenic Wind Energy Association (HWEA) hosted “Session#2: Roundtable – Supporting Organizations at our Service“, where Island entities and parties were able to address questions and receive specific technological answers on issues such as clean electricity generation technologies, decarbonization of islands and related policies for dissemination and implementation.

The Clean Energy for EU Islands Secretariat is an initiative on behalf of the European Commission aimed at catalyzing the clean energy transition on EU Islands. The Secretariat is managed by Climate Alliance, REScoop.eu and 3E, and collaborates with a wide range of local stakeholders, authorities, academia and citizens. Its work will be carried out in close collaboration with local, regional, national and international partners, with particular support from the Technical Educational Institute of Crete, the University of the Balearic Islands, and the Aeroe Energy and Environment Office. The Clean Energy for EU Islands Secretariat was created to facilitate the clean energy transition on EU islands from the bottom up. It is built on the vision that in order to assure the best environment for change, and to benefit all members of the island communities, a balanced collaboration between public and private stakeholders is essential.
