KOUIMTZIS Group-EUNICE: Solutions for energy autonomy and independence from the electricity grid, in the primary sector and the Greek industry

Partnership between the KOUIMTZIS Group – FENDT, THE AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY DIVISION & EUNICE.

KOUIMTZIS Group – FENDT, the Agricultural Machinery Division and the Eunice Group are entering into an extremely important partnership in the sector of energy and rural development, providing integrated solutions for energy autonomy and independence from the electricity grid in the primary sector and the Greek industry.

The Eunice group, utilizing its experience in the design, development and operation of autonomy systems, applying state-of-the-art technologies and being the first to implement the ideas of the future, starting with S4S in Tilos and the ‘Aftonomo by Eunice’ system, is developing the integrated solution for energy autonomy and independence that will be offered by the KOUIMTZIS Group-FENDT to its partner network.

The Eunice Group already has an established partnership with Alpha Systems, a member of the Kouimtzis Group, where innovative storage and autonomy technologies are being developed in relation to the energy needs of the defense industry and electromobility.

The new partnership extends to solutions that include photovoltaic panels, energy storage in battery systems and smart devices, as well as applications that allow the user to control and manage the electricity generated and consumed in an optimal way.

Especially lately with the increase in electricity costs, the Aftonomo system constitutes an ideal choice for farmers and local production units in the primary sector, making it possible for them to generate, store and manage their own energy, without relying on the electricity grid and without being affected by power outages. This way, they can reduce the cost of the energy required for their work, such as the operation of an irrigation system, refrigeration rooms, etc., regardless of the facilities’ locations.

The autonomy system ensures the following:

  • Full energy autonomy, even in the most remote areas, with seamless and uninterrupted system operation
  • Energy cost saving exceeding 80%
  • Energy saving
  • Smart load management & remote control through a platform and app for mobile phones
  • Sustainability of investment
  • Independence from conventional fuels

This new partnership paves the way towards an environmentally friendly change in the agricultural industry; it can be the beginning of a new era for everyone active in this sector.
