Overview
The Operations, Maintenance & Monitoring (OMM) Field-based Staff are responsible for on-site maintenance, repair, and monitoring of renewable energy systems, including the EW16 wind turbine, S4S energy autonomy systems, and other related energy solutions. The primary focus of this role is to conduct preventive maintenance, carry out repairs, and ensure that all systems are operating efficiently and safely. Field-based staff will work closely with office-based OMM teams to respond to system alerts, coordinate maintenance schedules, and provide vital feedback from the field.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance on EW16 and S4S systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize the risk of equipment failure.
- Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Identify and diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions, performing necessary on-site repairs or replacements to restore system functionality.
- Emergency Response: Respond to urgent maintenance needs and unexpected equipment failures, working to resolve issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
- Installation & Monitoring:
- System Monitoring: Utilize mobile monitoring tools to assess system performance while on-site and ensure that all equipment operates within prescribed parameters.
- Installation Support: Assist in the installation and commissioning of EW16 wind turbines and S4S systems, ensuring that all installations are performed according to engineering specifications and standards.
- Inspection & Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and perform quality checks to ensure all system components are operating safely and efficiently.
- Field Data Collection:
- Data Logging: Record maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and repairs carried out, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data for analysis.
- Feedback to OMM Office Team: Provide valuable field observations and feedback to the OMM office-based staff to improve maintenance planning and system reliability.
- Reporting Issues: Report any discrepancies or issues that cannot be resolved on-site to the OMM Manager and relevant engineering teams for further investigation.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing fieldwork, ensuring both personal safety and the safety of colleagues.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with on-site activities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company-specific safety standards.
- Tool and Equipment Management: Ensure all tools and equipment used for field operations are maintained and in good working condition.
Requirements
- Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in field-based maintenance, preferably within the renewable energy or industrial sector
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of wind turbines, energy systems, or similar equipment.
- Communication Skills: Good knowledge of the English language. Ability to clearly communicate field observations and maintenance needs to the office-based OMM team.

Problem-solving skills: Ability to quickly diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs, often under challenging field conditions.
Safety Focus: Strong commitment to following safety guidelines and protocols during all maintenance activities.
Physical Endurance: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks such as climbing towers or lifting heavy equipment.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel to different sites and respond to emergency situations, including after hours if require.

Work Conditions
