EUNICE: Putting Greece on the electromobility map

EV Chargers “Made in Greece”.

Electromobility is coming to change the way we move, rapidly shifting the evolving sector of modern mobility towards a more sustainable, cleaner and more promising future.

In this constantly evolving environment, in which zero emission electric vehicles will take the lead, the Eunice Energy Group, which for years has been developing modern and high quality chargers for all types of battery powered electric vehicles, will play a crucial role in Greece, utilizing both its know-how and its successful track record of more than 20 years in the field of green energy.

Remaining at the forefront of technological developments and green initiatives for all these years, Eunice Group offers today advanced chargers that constitute the most suitable choice in the new era of electromobility, meeting the needs of public and private emobility networks, many small or large businesses, such as hotels, supermarkets, etc., as well as Municipal Authorities that wish to offer the most efficient and reliable solutions while strengthening their green profile through the use of the Group’s green technology.

Eunice Group` chargers ensure numerous unparalleled advantages. First of all, there’s the fact that they are designed and manufactured entirely in the Group’s industrial facilities in Mandra, Attica, thus constituting the first chargers of Greek production. Moreover, their domestic manufacture, which is governed at all stages of production by the strictest specifications and quality control procedures, provides the advantage of immediate implementation of any changes in the production process, covering the technical requirements or modifications of the interested buyer.

Eunice Group’s innovative charging solutions are not limited to the provision of hardware alone, but are extended through a range of integrated support services for every interested party and every charging application. From the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of the chargers to consulting services, after sales support and the provision of any necessary remote (over-the-air) updates to immediately address potential problems or malfunctions, the Eunice Group is always present to provide not only the best charging solutions, but also the most reliable support and upgrade services for its chargers.

At the same time, Eunice Group’s extremely durable and long-life chargers allow easy and economical maintenance without the need for replacement or removal, while at the same time supporting the latest OCPP communication protocols. Thanks to these features and Eunice Group’s participation in the international OpenChargeAlliance committee – the world’s largest committee in terms of electromobility communication protocols – the Group provides the additional assurance of continuous product development and service provision.

It is therefore no coincidence that Eunice EV chargers are currently the most popular public use chargers in Greece, as they are used by the largest charger networks (DEI blue and Blink), already numbering more than 1,500 public installations in business premises, municipalities, hotels, shopping centres, supermarkets, etc.

At the same time, the Group’s chargers have been deployed in public places in a series of innovative projects on islands of the Aegean Sea. In Tilos, for example, as part of the award-winning S4S TILOS project; in Naxos, where chargers were installed in collaboration with Amazon Web Services as part of the Naxos Smart Island project; in Kythnos, which hosts one of the most extensive networks of public charging stations; and in Astypalaia, with the largest concentration of public chargers per capita in Greece.

The installation of Eunice chargers is not limited to Greece alone, but is also expanding beyond the borders, through a partnership with Wink, which is developing a proprietary network of public chargers in Bulgaria.

Eunice Group’s advanced charging solutions

Since as early as 2019, the Eunice Group has been providing two basic charger models. The first, called EEG–1S-22W, is a three-phase single output (22kW) charger for wall or pylon mounting in indoor or outdoor areas. The EEG–2S-22P is the second available option of a three-phase public charger with two charging outlets (2x22kW), which provides the ability to charge two electric vehicles simultaneously and is available for fixed ground mounting (pillar), and has a colour display with charging instructions.

The Eunice Group has designed and developed two more new products, which will be available in the first quarter of this year. The first is a direct current (DC) charger, which guarantees even more efficient charging times, while the second is a cylindrical alternating current (AC) charger, which has proven to be ideal for installation in public spaces and on pavements.

The purchase of one of the above chargers can be combined with the supply of a high strength, aesthetically attractive charging cable (Type 2), with an ergonomic design for ease of use and light weight for easy storage and transportation, available in different lengths (5m & 7m) depending on the customer’s needs.

Of great importance is the Eunice Group’s participation in the international electrification network Hubject, which certifies the technical compatibility of the chargers produced in Greece with the applicable international standards.
